Saw your post on Crazy Aunt Purl. I am so sorry about the loss of your child. Most people don't have much in the way of grieving-support skill. What you need most when you are torn apart inside is someone just to be AROUND ... to listen if you want to talk, or just sit and be quiet, or talk about the weather, go to the grocery with you, whatever. Americans in particular aren't very good at just "being." The nice thing about pets is they are probably the best grief-support system in the world. They instintively know how to just "be near."
I am a married (going on 15 years!) SAHM. I have 3 children, 2 with me & one has left this earth way to early. I found a love of knitting while pregnant with my last child & when she died it became my therapy. I do not knit for myself, but mostly for others. Hopefully soon, I will find my passion again & go back to school. In the meantime, I will blog & vouyer into others online world as well.
